A Girl and a Place There is a place where the air is clear And the stars are bright, but it's nowhere near. I can go at night, and sit and stare Into my life, but only there. With a friend I can ponder, And take the time to understand her. I can tell her what's on my mind. She listens to me, and we lose track of time. We can talk and share with each other And soon I have grown to love her. I gaze into her eyes, so bright They take the dark and make it light. The place is for love and sorrow, I hope she's there with me tomorrow. When we go, we can always stay, And think of things, as we fade into the day. 5/98 1999 © Joshua Golden
