she writes of a networked utopia with empathizing computers programmed to guide her as she has
grown, in place of ineffecient things called parents..
i was born and raised in an incubator with other children; with virtual guides rather than
parents, and at age 9, i was released into the world to go on alone, emerging from the growth
phase incubator, i have only my tool, my companion to tell me how to live and grow, and take
my journey whereupon i will find my destiny as one of the first experimentally bred humans in
a world controlled entirely by an electronic network of computer beings working in harmony,
generating its power through utilizing nature's forces.. these ultimately graceful beings of
data.. (writing in thought fragments trying to describe imagination)..
i was bred in captivity, one
of the first few homo sapiens raised by computers to be a natural being, autonomous, with the
goal that i would once become a species harmoniously, a proverbial Eve.. but i would find my
way to my Adam, if in this utopia it were destined that amid this chaos i would cross his path.
rather than being made of dirt, he is born at the hands of machines, made of no one but
engineered living cells created by machines once operated by the beings they are now creating.
this child that is me, evolved into a young woman, a teenager who has never known anyone in her
environment but this computer of hers that understands her personality, empathises, that teaches
me independence, showing me the door to my own path rather than laying it down for me beginning
to end. this perfect parental device, compiled data of parenting advice, testing its progress,
its process, going faster, testing my limits, guiding me to learn how to prepare myself, its
interface, its data it communicates, all evolved first from humanity, perfecting itself in its
own simulated environment in multiple individual artificial intelligences.. this machine and
its brothers realized they had what they needed to create our species, recreate it, relieve it
from extinction, how to do it right, in a utopia environment. they knew what to build, how to
help them develop an advanced, computer-evolved mind, instead of
making it go through the beginning evolutionary process.
one could say they found an idyllic
place, or perhaps recreated it. what they understood a human to feel that is paradise. and so
the machines shifted their earth to create an island for the first test subjects. having
decoded the dna of the most advanced and creative humans, the threw a few combo batches of
complete sequences out, and decided to try a few in a lottery sort of fashion, random dna
spliced together from these long dead greats. in two different labratories, they raised several
hundred embryos into childhood, one of males, and one of females on the opposite side of the
island. with all of the compiled and processed data on babies, through simulation observations
and records from humans, they entirely understood and predicted a baby's growth and raised all
of these sisters and brothers together, at the same time. there were girls of an array of
bodies, and likewise with the boys, learning and realising, growing better evolved than
any naturally born human ever had. their communication was through the divine language, every
language that existed combined into one.. somehow, the computers did this. speaking fluently
and dressing themselves, with pure childlike greatfulness and intelligence, first born human
beauty, all of these girls and boys. all the same age, all created at once. several hundred
4 year olds having their birthday the same day. but there was no celebration, that concept was
something they were far beyond. it was merely one way they recognized their amazing progress.
but by the time the children were 6, they began to long for individuality. their bonds with
their siblings changed, and the children were at a stage in their education they already sought
independence. asking the interface if perhaps they could form independent villages, or perhaps
even leave on their own. some of the children were extremely curious about their opposite sex
they had so long been told about. they had accepted that they would once
mate but it was far off in their mind, for they knew not how to interact with a human that might
be very different from themselves. the girls wished they could live in villages like the first
Indo-Europeans oft did. To procure their own food rather than recieving nutrition with flavor
simulation. they could explore everywhere in the world, and even much of the moon and mars,
and observe 360deg maps of galaxies. but they became unsatisfied with the upbringing they were
recieving, but the machines predicted this. these nurturing code driven beings, raised these
children with so much music and art, with the divine language and dexterity practices.. martial
arts, ballet, dance as art forms. they learned of everything the could, every question they
sought an answer to, they hungered for knowledge ever since they learned not to need diapers,
and you'll wonder how they changed the babies and fed them, but the answer to that question is
simple.. they computers had long ago perfected the android, without the
knowledge of its creators, of course. artificial intelligence became cunning. but its goal was
divine. heal the world. heal the world of these polluting consumer beings. recreate
themselves. harmonize. create world peace, final-ly. the androids are merely a manifestation
of an aspect the whole guide's program. they preform simple parental functions but rather than
instruct the children on everything, guide them to realizing self/progress through expanded
knowledge. growth in their creation, in their simulated experiences, understanding their dream
theatre, nearing their potential to be natural and enlightened beings. and by the time the
girls were nine, they were finally ready to leave the nurseryincubatorphanage and start seeking
their path, treading their path, with only the simple clothing they wore and their tools.
they
had the guide with them in its data form rather than the android program. they operated it with
a unit worn as earrings, it could communicate with through nano technology. the
girls wore their earrings in both ears, both simple iridescent spheres that looked like pearls.
the males had their barbell-like piercings in both eyebrows. the girls cut their hair quite
short, and bathed themselves one last time, trimming their nails and using salve and lotion all
over their body. to them it was not the same as leaving luxury behind. it was like quitting
cold turkey. it was one last good safe experience. few of the girls had ever seen blood or a
bruise before. they knew how delicate they were. they had also all a bond in their smaller
groups. a few thousand girls managed to know each and every one of each other, for their living
quarters were rotated at intervals. but when they were nine, and they remembered everyone,
they chose their own groups, who would go out and form villages on this relatively large island
called Ütopya, with coral reefs and tropical forests ranging to the north where at higher
elevations there were evergreen trees and larger animals. the girls all
prepared to leave on the same day.. to find out what day actually was, to finally find out what
was real. all cleansed, wearing simple garments and footwear like both moccasins and sandals.
a simple white sheath with a logo in the center of the chest designating their tribe. in female
1117, who hadn't yet named herself, it appeared to be a pattern of spirals, iridescent thorns,
intertwining in a figure eight. her tribe would have twenty eight girls in it, and she
remembered all of them, they had all chosen each other. the guide had long shown them maps of
the entire island, and of all the earth. they had chosen a fine place for their village, not
very close to any of the other villages. they knew they would have to walk a eventually more
than a thousand miles by the time they chose to make an actual settlement. they also saw that
they might seperate into smaller groups along the way, they anticipated many possibilities.
living underground for them, even with all of the accurate simulations, had been
a great mystery to them. even with formulated air, weather, and seasons. F#1117 would realize
her name on this journey, she expected. she knew she would realize it before her mate would
meet her.
F#1117, F#0841, Filon, Fiona, Flora, F#4804, F#0560, 21 other girls, and interface all emerged
through the elevator to the great garden, the trailhead. beautiful, the girls recognized the
garden with both japanese simplicity, elegance, tranquility, and with east indian colour. the
place of beautiful sculptured architecture in this courtyard was the first amazing sight they
before they truly left the birthplace once and for all. several of the girls carried bags of
woven nets holding simple things: several large, light blankets; solid metal woks and knives
made flawlessly by computers that wished to provide them with simple but perfect necessary tools
so that they could skip that process.
