Mud Ridin’ one of my best friends is a ’79 chevy pick-up truck simple and silver rusty and rugged I call her Mattie I like to drive Mattie on the muddy trails behind the old mansion where I plow through the muck and cover her with life together we triumph over hills of anxiety and affliction until we reach the monster pit at the end of all the meandering paths she lands with a chunky splash and splatters wet earth like a redneck mud-bomb then we emerge from the bemired abyss caked with a layer of dark red ooze and I realize that I am as clean as I will ever be
