they showed you face last night
on the TV screen
i turned you off but I still heard you scream:

and granny got a gun

and i can turn you off and tune you out
till you're nothing but static and snow
i get every channel but you're not on
cause your ratings were just to low
another cancelled show

but that was last night
on the tv
but it sure seemed real to me
